Club History

Bruce holds a bachelor's degree in engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and an MBA in management from Fairleigh Dickinson University.

Bruce is currently the editor of Embedded Technology and Photonics Tech Briefs, two technical magazines published in conjunction with the highly respected NASA Tech Briefs magazine, the number one engineering and design magazine in the world. Prior to becoming a journalist, Bruce spent 14 years working as an engineer in the bulk material handling and defense electronics industries.

Bruce was a member of the Hawthorne Board of Education (1996-1999) and coach in the Hawthorne Basketball Association.  A parishioner at St. Anthony's RC Church, Bruce has served on the Parish Council; the 75th Anniversary Book Committee and the Centennial Jubilee Book Committee, as well as a member of the Carillon Newsletter Committee.  Presently, he is a member of St. Anthony's Pastoral Advisory Committee.

Bruce was elected as the borough's 2nd Ward Councilman in 2000 and in 2006 he was elected to his present post of Councilman at Large.  Bruce chairs the public works, public safety and legislation committees.  He also serves as council liaison to the Board of Education and Board of Recreation.

Bruce and his wife Antoinette have three children: Patrick, Alessia and Kevin. They have lived in Hawthorne for 32 years.
